Before we meet the lovely C+S for their St George UT Couple Photos, let’s get to know St George Utah!

This would not be a destination lover’s tale without history or fun facts about the location!

So let’s open with what St George Utah is easily known for, which is its proximity to the incredible Zion National Park. Clocking in at just a 51-minute ride to and from, it is no wonder why St George is known for the national park that attracts 4.3 million visitors a year.

However, what is not as easily known about St George Utah, is that is named after the Mormon apostle George A. Smith, also known as the “Potato Saint”. Due to, his urging his followers to eat uncooked and unpeeled potatoes to cure scurvy. First, going to say that does not sound ah-peeling at all… bad pun aside, that is still an interesting fact about St George Utah. Secondly, I have to wonder if this is still a coveted DIY idea to cure scurvy or if we as humanity have grown past it?

So speaking of growing pains, in 2020 St George Utah was the number one fastest growing city in America.

Last fact: if Zion was not 51 minutes away, and the Grand Canyon 2 hours away, then Snow Canyon would be National Park St George Utah would be known for.

Now I think that is enough history bits about this special place. Time to meet our Lovers of this tale!

Time to meet the Lovers of these, St. George UT Couple Photos!

Okay now that we know where we are at, it is time to know the why. The “why” is almost always to capture the love of a couple and make it visual art. You’ve read either Mr. Bee’s or mine or WEV’s bio, “you write the end to your tale, I am just here to make it art.” It is something we full-heartedly believe in! it is the “why” we do what we do. It is why we believe our mission statement so much, “to be extraordinary is to be incomparable”. Because art is extraordinary and leaves one feeling incomparable to the next. By turning your love into art, we hope to inspire more lovers to know that their love is enough. That it is art worthy all on its own.

This couple is no different. Their love has lasted from being tested and tried over the years. they have grown together stronger than before.

Lover’s Tale of C+S

WEV: How did you guys meet?  How did the stars align to make you meet?

C+S: We met through a mutual friend. She brought us together on a night that Sean was actually already on a date with someone else. Suddenly he was no longer interested in his date and ended up asking for my phone number.

WEV: What was the first date? Favorite moment from it? Did you kiss?

C+S: We started late because I had to work, so the only place that was open was Wendy’s. So we went through the drive-through. Went back to his house to watch a movie, and YES, we ended up kissing on the first date, haha.

Let’s talk about LOVE.

WEV: Firstly, when did you know you were in love? When did you want to say “I love you”?

S: 16 years ago I married the girl of my dreams, the most beautiful, wonderful girl in the world. I do feel like I am the luckiest guy to walk the earth. I remember us back at this time and I remember how crazy head over heals in love we were. We were never really ever apart. From the moment we met, we spent every free minute together.

If we were apart we would talk on the phone for hours. I remember on our 3rd date Crystal saying, “I like you a lot.” My reply came quickly, “I love you.” She then seemed to wonder out loud as she questioned, “do you think that is possible?” It’s an amazing thing when you just know. Knew the moment I saw her. I wish I could put myself in Crystal’s shoes back then and see how it felt from the other side. I was so certain, so soon.

We began dating in April, were engaged on June 20th, and married on July 31st. It all could not happen soon enough and nothing ever felt forced or rushed, instead it felt natural. It was exhilarating. Being head over heels in love is the ultimate high!

I always love learning about the couple!

    • BenandBecca Pettis says:

We find it important to let the couples speak about their lovers’ tale themselves. One day we will have an exhibit and their tales will be the captions, in meantime a blog is an excellent start!

  2. Monica says:

St. George is so beautiful. I loved looking through this gallery. What really stood out to me though, was their “rules” for marriage. They gave some really great advice!

    • BenandBecca Pettis says:

Their rules are definitely inspiring JUST AS MUCH AS St. George UT locations for artwork creating.
